The Lilies of Life

The layers of deceptive disguise, the silence that oozes fright

The smile but a cobweb of lies, the loneliness that drowns

The crowd that haunts, the eyes that are dead inside

The stories incomplete, the silent unanswered help calls

Darkness melting the light, the regrets of the past

The gloomy future ahead, lost in the labyrinth of time

The pain stuck in the throat, the tears that do not fall

But what is the night if not appalling and dark

The sun will rise soon stark and the dews will burn bright

On the lilies of the life. Vibrant. Colorful. Merry.
